1. What do I need to do?

Ah, yes. The paperwork. There is one thing that we can’t do for you: getting all required correct documents. Different funding agencies may require different documents that need to be submitted electronically or as a hard copy. Not to worry, we will explain everything to you, but you will need to get them, and maybe scan them to send them (in time!) to us.

Pictures are always nice to send along, but often they want more substantial documentation. Some examples that might be asked for:

-Proof that you are a foundation: Extract Chamber of Commerce; Articles of incorporation; Organisation structure; Background information of applicant (e.g. social annual report); Rental agreement etc.

-Proof of financial accountability: Annual statement of accounts; Annual report with an auditor’s report (not often requested since these are expensive); Budget current financial year, etc.

-Quotations for the items in your budget

For the initial contact, we need some information to get a good idea of your organisation, your line of work and your ideas for the future.

Maybe you have a website, but basically all background info you can provide is welcome: who is your staff (some numbers is fine if there are too many); is the organisation volunteer based (with long term volunteers?) or with a regular paid staff; how many projects do you do annually? What are those project expenses and how do you currently get them funded?

When it makes you feel uncomfortable to send out those details to strangers, just send what you want to share for now and we will get to other things when time comes to compose budgets.
